Woman Eating Elephant

During World War 2, Germany was suffering from severe food shortages, and its zoos animals could not always be given the balanced diet that they had customarily received in peacetime. An elephant had gotten sick and a zookeeper decided to stay after with him inside the exhibit. Upon the next morning another zookeeper found her in pieces. The elephant had eaten her. I found this so scary but not to far from normal since there are deer and sheep that eat birds in order to get calcium.

Short Story by me (John Adams)

Christine had been working at the zoo for 10 years and had fallen in love with taking care of the elephants. She knew that one of the elephants, an elderly male named Rufus was getting sick and that he may not make it to the morning. She had asked the other zookeepers if she could stay the night and help watch over Rufus. She opened the elephant exhibit and saw that Rufus was by himself as normal. She patted his leg and calmly said “How you doing big guy, ready for are sleep over?” she said. “She looked down at her he was not feeling good. She had fallen asleep next to him.

The police were called within an hour. Screams were heard from the zoo area and it sounded as if a girl were being killed. They assumed it was a prank since a lot of kids in the area always prank called them. Eventually, by the fifth call they sent a man out. He got down there and didn’t hear any screaming. He walked through the zoo. He looked at the zebras, he looked at the lions, he looked at the penguins and there was nothing abnormal it just some animals wanting to go to sleep. He finally reached the elephant enclosure and stopped dead in his tracks. In front of him through the light of his flashlight he could see an arm of a woman. He got on his walky-talky and said “I need back up, homicide.” He looked closer in and saw that something much worse then a normal murder had occurred, Rufus had eaten most of Christine and in his mouth was her severed leg covered in blood. Upon later investigation it was found that something was being missed he wasn’t getting proper calcium so in order for him to get it he began eating Christine.
